spacerMy High Action is a Hatch strain developed by my Father back in the early 80s. It is genetically made up of 3/4 Mclean (a blend of Harold Brown’s Kingfox mclean line and Oscar Akins’ Kingmaker mclean line) and 1/4 Percy Flowers Blueface Hatch. They are primarily bred for the Long Knife, being smart, quick and agile, but still possess the power, gameness and deep cutting of a true Hatch line. I have sub families of High Actions to keep them from getting too inbred. These sub fams are genetically the same, but thru the years of breeding them, they developed a distinct phenotype that is distinguishable.

But most of them share the same fighting traits. The Uzi are darker reds and smaller size. Touch of a class are light reds, taller and more modern looking. Real Macoy are also light reds that resembles the original King Fox mcleans of Harold Brown, being solid built and well balance med station. Top guns are darker reds, sleeker and taller. Virtuoso are mostly straight combs, showing more on the Blueface influence. These Hatch strains have been winning for us all these years in the big derbies, either cross or fighting them straightbreds. They generally cross well to any good families of fowls.
